~My Mantra ~
I am not a writer. I WRITE.
I am not a wife. I SHARE my life with the man I love.
I am not a mother. I LOVE my children enough to teach them to be awesome grown-ups.
I am not a super-fit goddess. I WORK OUT and ENJOY EATING healthy, nutritious foods.
I am not organized. I STAY ON TOP of my responsibilities.
I am not perfect. I STRIVE for balance and ACCEPT my humanity. And I LEARN from my mistakes.
I am not. I DO.
What's your mantra today?

LOVE IT!@
Wow, that is such a great mantra to live by.
♥ it!
I love this, Nicole! Thank you for sharing. It's such a great mindset. <3
Great mantra!
Good reminder--we can sure do a lot more if none of them owns us, eh?
Maybe it's the opposite way of seeing things, but it's my mantra regardless. "I am not a human 'doing,' I'm a human 'being.'"
I am not a lazy guy on the couch; I prepare myself for the days ahead.
(And, yes, the bag of oreos is a very important part of the preparation plan)
I love this!!!!
I'm no longer a walking label. :D
Interesting concept of show vs. tell. Love it.
Love this!
Gosh Nicole, great perspective! I've never thought of things in those terms...
Ummm, great ideas...
Aw! I love it! What a great attitude. <3
Impressive :-)
I enjoyed this post. You reminded me that we are beyond labels. We are beings of action. Thank you for that.
Avoiding weak state of being verbs, eh? Very nice. I like it.
Fabulous! I love these positive affirmations! :)
Nice!
Mine right now is something in line with the following.
Breathe in. If you're feeling blue, breathe out.
I sometimes forget.
;-)
Yes, Nicole, who we "are" and what we "do" are different. I am just now getting in touch with "who I am" without the identity that came with "what I did" (as in my career) for so many years. It's very enlightening.
Thanks for your comment Nicole, I've heard a lot about the Maze Runner maybe I will check it out...
I love this, Nicole! Thanks for dropping by my blog :)
Love this!
Nice to meet you, fellow Crusader! :)
This is beautiful--I love it!
Now that sums up a great attitude.

My mantra is always... "it is what it is." I say that a lot.
I love this! It's just what I needed to get through the rest of this week!
Today my mantra is I can write for hours when I put my mind to it!
What a great mantra. I see where your upbeat personality comes from. This is also a great writing exercise for show vs tell. Now, if only I could do that for my characters.
That is a positive mantra to live by
- a great way to look a life.
Angela Felsteds:
"I am not a human 'doing,' I'm a human 'being.'" was special too :D
Love this mantra. I'm love the positive nature of it :)
A good way to start your day. Listen only to the positive voice and ignore all else.
Hey, that's a great one. I'm going to use that one for my mantra today, yes? Thanks, Nic~ :o) <3
You are one cool Mama and wife, even though you don't use the words. Ha. I don't use mantras like most people do. I chant, sing constantly, and put determination into my core. I guess it all comes out the same.
That cake with the roses on your profile is the most gorgeous piece of edible art I've ever seen. I've never been able to frost a cake and I do soooo applaud you.
Love and peace,
Manzanita
So be a verb, not a noun? I like it!
I love this, to take responsibility and not accept a label but to actively do the task at hand.

Great mantra. Mine is: never surrender, never give up. I say it a lot.
I like it.
My mantra today, hmmm...
I don't have writer's block. I am contemplating with a pained look on my face.
okay, I'm not so good at this mantra bidness. I'll work harder next time or just borrow yours.
Love it! Thanks for sharing the positive-ness!
Like it - mine is sim. 'just do it'
and sometimes 'if you want it enough!'
they are all of a muchness - 'its life and its the only one so go...
This is great. I really like your way of thinking.
Great post!
